Adam Petricoff
CBI, CM&AP, M&AMI, CEPA
Managing Partner
Adam Petricoff is the Managing Partner of NXT Chapter Advisors. With more than 10 years of experience and hundreds of transactions completed, Adam is a recognized leader in business brokerage and lower middle markets. He helps business owners understand the fair market value of their business while helping them navigate the biggest transaction of their lives.
Adam’s creative problem-solving skills and deep understanding of the challenges business owners face allow him to provide clear, actionable advice at every stage of the sales process. He is committed to helping clients achieve their goals, maximize value, and move forward with confidence.
Prior to working as an M&A advisor and broker, Adam worked in the textile industry for 20 years, specializing in hospitality, healthcare and retail sales. He was a fourth-generation member of a family textile business calling on national accounts like Wal-Mart, Costco, Marriott, Hilton and Disney. Participating in the sale of that business has given him firsthand insight into the weight of each decision during a sale and the value of experienced guidance.
When he’s not working, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing tennis and pickleball and sampling the finest ice cream—because someone has to perform appropriate due diligence on ice cream! His favorite flavor is any pint of Graeter’s from his hometown of Cincinnati.
Adam has earned his Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Certified Mergers & Acquisition Professional (CM&AP), Mergers & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) certification. He is a currently a member of the M&A Source Board, the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), and the Carolinas-Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA), where he recently served as the organization’s President.
Lauren Stewart
MBA, PMP
Transaction Manager
As a PMP-certified professional with an MBA, Lauren is passionate about using her skillset to help others and building genuine relationships that make complex projects and transactions feel manageable.
She spent 19 years at Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas HealthCare System), leading complex healthcare projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and patient well-being. That experience shaped her leadership style—grounded in integrity, clear communication, and follow-through.
In addition to her healthcare background, she is a licensed real estate broker in both North Carolina and South Carolina, working in commercial real estate. Over the past two years in business brokerage and more than three years in commercial real estate, she has sharpened her negotiation skills, market insight, and ability to guide clients through high-stakes decisions.
Today, as a Transaction Manager, she partners closely with business brokers to manage business sales from start to finish. She loves helping owners and entrepreneurs navigate the process and realize their dreams of buying or selling a business.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and in nature—either on a soccer field or on a yoga mat.
